Artists of Our Lives
I was thinking about why I do what I do. And why I even got the idea to create this newsletter.
Why… A question that gives everything we do a deeper meaning, a strong foundation that keeps everything in one place, strong core that keeps you going even when you think you should quit, when doubt appears and when you think none of it makes sense.
So, the first letter is dedicated to my why - Discovering the Truth within to live a life of Freedom.
It all started with one book - The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. That’s when I first learned about it, at the age of 18.
“You are not your mind, you are the observer of your mind. Present moment is all we have, we live in eternal now.” - Those words blew my mind of and I was left in a state of deep presence and love for everything that exists.
But that state didn’t last long. Majority of times it had to be triggered by something external and those were just fractions coming unexpectedly. I wasn’t living it.
That’s because learning about it was one thing. Discovering it within myself was something completely different.
The fact is, I wasn’t aware of myself that much. I lived in an illusion that I was. Illusion that was keeping me a prisoner of my own mind.
Something was undoubtedly needed. To go on a journey of deep inner exploration.
And I went.
.
I was diving deep through the layers of my subconscious mind. Through every resistance I had. I found trauma, limiting beliefs, coping mechanisms, inner blocks and fears. Everything that was created and stored deep down in the ocean of my mind, by having this human experience.
And slowly, as I was dissecting my ego, at one point I was left with - nothing.
In that nothingness I found myself. My true self. When there was nothing left of my ego, I realized who I was. Nothing yet everything, at the same time.
That Truth freed me in ways I couldn’t even imagine.
I was no longer floating around wondering who I am and what should I do with my life. Foundation was there, always present. That foundation allows me to built on it whatever I desire, without fear it will collapse or be taken away. Because it cannot be taken away.
I started living in presence and in alignment with who I truly am. Mind is no longer a master (although it has its moments khm), but a tool, like it was designed to be from the very beginning.
Life feels lighter. As I am releasing attachment, letting go and allowing what is to unfold, life flows.
It doesn’t mean problems disappear. We are having a human experience, obstacles will always be here. The difference is how you approach the obstacles. You start seeing fears and problems as opportunities for expansion. You know that only by going through resistance, facing fears and solving your problems, you will come to the other side. You are no longer a victim, but a creator.
And no matter what happens on the surface of human experience, you know who you are, and that Truth gives you the power to create whatever you desire.
Expansion.
I am not done with learning and I never will be. I must expand, like every human out there.
If there is no expansion, we become stuck. And being stuck goes against the law of nature. Everything is in constant motion. So we, as a part of universe, must evolve and change too. If you refuse, life will do it for you in not such a gentle way.
I am not saying expansion always looks like achieving more and more. Sometimes, expansion means to slow down, like nature does. Expansion is not linear. It is multidimensional. Only you, deep down, know what you gotta do to expand.
And for me, my next level is passing down what I’ve learned and share what I’m still learning on my journey. Becoming a guide.
Expanding myself by helping others to expand. It’s a win win situation hihi
It feels natural to do so - flowy, as I like to say.
Creating my own little community for those who are interested in discovering the truth within and living a life of freedom. Life in presence and in alignment with your most authentic expressive self. For those who want to become artists of their own lives.
In the end, we are spiritual beings having temporary human experience. Why not make that experience the best possible?
It is in our ability to do so.
And always remember, answers are within you, only within you.
Oki, I will stop now because I’m starting to overthink it and I said to myself I will work on my relationship with perfectionism. (you see, we humans always gotta relearn stuff haha)
Subscribe and see you in the next one!
Much Love,
Laura
